Watercolor Pet Portrait Options
This custom pet portrait option includes your pet painted in a colorful style on watercolor paper.
The following size options are available: (Tax is not included in the price.)
$75 for 5.5″x7.5″ – single pet, head/torso crop only; simple background
$150 for 7.5″x11″
$250 for 11″x15″
$350 for 15″x22″
(Please note that the three larger sizes can feature a single pet or multiple pets, head/torso crop or full body, simple or detailed background.)
Matting/framing not included. You will receive the portrait painted on watercolor paper and secured in a protected parcel.
Acrylic Pet Portrait Options
This custom pet portrait option includes your pet painted in a high contrast black and white style in acrylic with detail that is very photorealistic. Your pet’s fur color will determine if the portrait will be done black on white or white on black. (This is my absolute favorite style to paint!)
If you prefer one look over the other, we can discuss what the finished product would look with either option.

$250 for 8″x10″
$300 for 11″x14″
$350 for 12″x16″
(Please note that additional sizes can be requested – to commission a portrait of a size you do not see here, please contact me for a quote.)
The edges of the canvas are painted so that the portrait will look elegant from all angles, whether it sits on your mantle or hangs on your wall. (Framing not required.)
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are available! They are a great way to take the pressure off of yourself in choosing what photo a pet owner would prefer as a portrait (or which pet – if they have several.)
Unsure if your friend, family, or partner will want a watercolor or an acrylic pet portrait? Gift certificates can be purchased for any value. Purchased gift certificates never expire. This gift certificate is redeemable for $$-off a custom portrait that can be redeemed towards either a watercolor or an acrylic pet portrait and allows you to let them decide what they want done.
**If you have a gift certificate that was donated to an event by Artmistadi Pet Portraits, it will expire one year from the date of the event it was donated to.
Gift certificates can only be redeemed at artmistadi.com – code must be provided prior to checkout. No cash value. Must be redeemed in full. Not valid with any other offer or discount. Code can only be used once – do not share gift certificate codes with anyone other than the intended recipient. No replacement for lost gift certificates.
Shipping Info
*If you are local to the Duluth, MN area, please contact me to see if a pickup or drop off can be arranged to avoid the need to ship your pet portrait.
Acrylic paintings will be wrapped to prevent the stretched canvas from taking on any water damage and shipped in a custom fit box to ensure the most secure traveling from point A to point B.
All small watercolor paintings will be sandwiched between sturdy cardboard for rigidity and wrapped to prevent water damage; their envelopes will have “Do not Bend” written front and back. These parcels should be opened delicately to prevent from tearing/cutting the painting. Any large watercolor painting will be rolled, placed in a protective sleeve, and sent in a mailing tube.
**Shipping/Handling is not included in the price of a portrait.
I try to use recycled materials for my packaging to do my part for the environment – as well as to keep your shipping costs down.
All paintings are insured and will have mail confirmation/tracking so you know when to expect your parcel.
Refund Policy
In the 10+ years that I have been painting pet portraits, I have never had anyone be unhappy with the result of my work. Due to the opportunity to have small/reasonable adjustments made until you are 100% satisfied with the portrait you are commissioning, returns/refunds are not accepted.
